ANU Organisational StructureIntroductionMost information produced by Statistical Services report figures against particular areas of the university, such as student load against the academic areas that bear the teaching load, or staff FTE against the areas in which they are employed. However, since the structure changes from year to year historical data is often reported against the current structure for the sake of consistency. For example, prior to 2004 music and visual arts courses were taught by the National Institute of the Arts (NITA). However, in time-series pivot table reports the "Teaching Faculty/School/Centre" field reports student load in these programs against the Faculty of Arts. Occasionally, figures are reported against a historical organisational structure, or users are given the choice of either historical or current structure. Care should always be taken when interpreting these figures. Academic StructureThe current academic structure of the ANU is shown below, along with some information about changes that have been approved in recent years. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
